Theodore Brisson, MD

Dr. Theodore Brisson is a board-certified urologist and one of the most experienced robotic surgeons in South Carolina, with over 2,500 robotic procedures performed. His surgical practice focuses on oncological urology, including radical and partial nephrectomies, radical prostatectomies, and radical cystectomies.

Dr. Brisson received his medical degree from the University of 
North Carolina School of Medicine and completed his urology residency at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. He was the first physician in South Carolina to perform a robotic sacrocolpopexy using the
da Vinci system.

Dr. Adam Kase is a genitourinary medical oncologist and physician-investigator at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, where he holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine. His clinical expertise spans prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers, with a research focus on translational oncology, personalized genomic therapeutics, and the development of novel clinical trials including neoantigen-based vaccines and molecular targeted therapies.

Dr. Kase earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.

Roger Li, MD

Genitourinary Oncologist Moffitt Cancer Center

Dr. Roger Li is a genitourinary oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He completed advanced fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center and has led multiple international clinical trials investigating novel therapeutics in urothelial malignancies.

Dr. Li’s translational research is focused on ctDNA and utDNA as actionable biomarkers, genomic characterization of genitourinary tumors, and the development of precision immunotherapy strategies. Dr. Li earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine.

David Thiel, MD

Urologist Mayo Clinic – Jacksonville

Dr. David Thiel is a urologist and Professor of Urology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques for kidney and prostate cancers, with particular expertise in partial and radical nephrectomy.

Dr. Thiel received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed his urology residency at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, and his fellowship in minimally invasive urologic surgery at the University of Iowa. He has over 150 peer-reviewed publications related to kidney surgery and renal pathology and is a recipient of the Mayo Clinic Educator of the Year award.

Urologic Oncologist Cleveland Clinic

Dr. Christopher Weight is a board-certified urologic oncologist and Professor of Urology at the Cleveland Clinic, where he directs the Urologic Oncology Center. With over two decades of experience, his clinical and research focus spans kidney, bladder, and upper tract urothelial cancers.

Dr. Weight received his medical degree from the University of Utah and has contributed extensively to the literature on renal cell carcinoma and surgical outcomes in urologic malignancies. He also founded Climb for Kidney Cancer (C4KC), a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and funding research in kidney cancer.

Dr. Sean Williamson is a pathologist and Professor of Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic and a nationally recognized expert in urologic and genitourinary pathology. He has contributed to over 150 peer-reviewed publications and is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Surgical Pathology.

He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is co-author of Atlas of Genitourinary Pathology: A Pattern-Based Approach and a recipient of the Arthur Purdy Stout Society of Surgical Pathologists Annual Prize.

Alexander Parker, PhD, MS, serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Beemok Health Labs, bringing expertise in cancer epidemiology, genomics and precision medicine to its work advancing research and improving outcomes for people with upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

Dr. Parker is also senior associate dean for research at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Previously, he spent 18 years at Mayo Clinic. An accomplished investigator, he has contributed to numerous federally funded studies and authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications.
